Dodger Stadium Event to Provide Relief and Recognition for First Responders and Their Families

Alexandria, VA – February 24, 2025 – Good360, the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, is proud to partner with Amazon to support the First Responders Children’s Foundation (FRCF) in honoring the first responders who bravely battled the recent Southern California wildfires. As part of disaster relief and a long-term recovery effort, Good360 and Amazon will provide essential goods to first responder families at the Los Angeles First Responder Family Appreciation Day, taking place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

This special event, hosted by FRCF, will recognize the thousands of firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other first responders who put their lives on the line to protect Southern California communities. Families will enjoy an afternoon of activities, games, food, and music while also receiving much-needed essential supplies, clothing, footwear, and toys—all generously donated by corporate partners, including Amazon and Good360.

Through this collaboration, Good360 is working with eight corporate donors as part of a long-term recovery strategy in the region. The event represents just one facet of an ongoing initiative to provide relief and support to those affected by wildfires, ensuring communities have the resources they need to rebuild and recover.

FRCF First Responder Family Appreciation Day is a reminder that even those who serve and protect us need support in times of crisis,” said Cinira Baldi, CEO of Good360. “We are committed to standing by first responders and their families throughout the recovery process, and this event is just one step in a much larger effort to provide essential aid and resources for years to come.”

As part of this initiative, Amazon and Good360 will distribute 20 pallets of essential goods—including towels, kitchenware, and household supplies—providing direct relief to hundreds of first responder families.

“We’re deeply grateful to the first responders who have shown extraordinary bravery during the Southern California wildfires,” said David Ambroz, Amazon’s Senior Manager of Community Engagement and Public Policy. “Our partnership with Good360 allows us to support first responders and their families, combining our resources to provide immediate relief.”

Amazon’s commitment to disaster relief extends beyond this event. The company committed $10 million to wildfire relief efforts across Southern California. Through its newly activated Wildfire Disaster Relief Hub in Beaumont, and support across its logistics network, Amazon has donated over 500,000 essential items to 29 local relief organizations, including Good360. Nonprofit: Didomi 7+

    Donor: Toys for Tots

    Location: Hebron, Ohio

    Lives Impacted: 240

A group of children who received toys from Toys for Tots and Good360.

Didomi 7+ is a nonprofit and Good360 Redistribution Partner (RP) in Ohio that serves the greater Columbus area by collaborating with various organizations to provide essential items to economically disadvantaged residents. As an RP, they receive donated goods through Good360 and distribute them to churches, schools, and other non-profits.

Toys for Tots demonstrated their commitment beyond the holiday season by providing Didomi 7+ with a donation for Rock Church of Zanesville’s annual “Rock the City” community event on June 15, 2024. The outreach serves as a beacon of hope to underserved residents, offering meals, necessary goods, and encouragement. Thanks to Toys for Tots, this year’s event also included something special for the children attending.

“In the past, we could only provide toys to a small group of children. This year, because of Didomi 7+ and Toys for Tots, every single child went home with something,” said a representative of Rock Church.

The children were thrilled to browse the vast selection of games and toys. “This is my first Lego set,” one child said. “Every time we go to the store, the Legos are too expensive for mommy to buy.”

Distributions of this magnitude are crucial as they not only meet the immediate needs of the community but also bring joy and hope to those who receive them. Providing toys and other essentials to children in need can have a lasting positive impact on their emotional and psychological well-being.

    How You Can Help

    Southern California Wildfires

Wildfires are among the most devastating disasters—spreading rapidly, often without warning, and leaving little time to prepare. With no clear start or end date, the fires continue to rage, and the need for support grows. Here are some ways you can help.

    Last updated 2/6/2025

The Current Status in Southern California

The Southern California wildfires have devastated Los Angeles County, with over 57,024 acres burned, thousands displaced, and critical infrastructure severely impacted. Here’s an overview of the unfolding crisis:

    All wildfires have been contained.

    Casualties and Displacement:

  • At least 29 confirmed fatalities and over a dozen individuals are still missing.
  • Over 150,000 residents were under evacuation orders at the peak of the fires, many of whom remain displaced.
  • More than 17,000 structures destroyed, including homes, schools, and community centers.
  • 12,700 residents remain without power, and several areas face “Do Not Use” water advisories.
  • Federal resources, including 2,500 National Guard members and 500 active-duty military personnel, are on the ground assisting with search and rescue efforts, air operations, and logistical support.

We need large-scale donations to address the most critical needs of wildfire survivors. These items will be distributed to our nonprofit members on the front lines, ensuring they reach affected communities as quickly as possible.

    New Clothing and Footwear:

Weather-appropriate clothing for adults, children, and infants, including jackets and baby items.

    Bedding:

Warm blankets, pillows, and towels for displaced families.

    Personal Hygiene Products:

Essentials like soap, toothpaste, diapers, sanitary pads, and baby wipes.

    Shelf Stable Food & Water:

Non-perishable food, canned goods, bottled water, and infant formula.

    Storage:

Duffle bags, suitcases, storage bins, and folders for paperwork

    School Supplies:

backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, scissors, glue sticks, and small toys for kids

    Cots & Infant Supplies:

Sleeping arrangements like cots, cribs, baby bottles, pacifiers, and baby-safe blankets are vital for families with young children.

    Electronics, Flashlights, and Batteries:

Necessary for providing emergency lighting and powering essential devices when off-grid.

    Plastic Tubs & Suitcases:

Storage solutions for clothes, supplies, and essentials, especially for families on the move or in temporary shelters.

    Cleaning Supplies:

Items like garbage bags, cleaning gloves, brooms, shovels, and other tools to help with debris removal and maintaining hygiene.

    Emergency Assistance for Affected Families

The Southern California wildfires have left tens of thousands without homes, resources, or access to basic necessities. If you or someone you know has been affected, these organizations are offering critical support on the ground:

  • After the Fire USA Immediate Resources: A comprehensive guide to emergency housing, financial support, and essential resources for wildfire survivors.
  • FEMA Disaster Assistance: Apply for federal aid, including temporary housing, medical assistance, and more.
  • California Wildfire Recovery Details: Updates on disaster declarations and how to access state and federal resources.
  • Text SHELTER and your ZIP code to 43362.
  • Visit RedCross.org/Shelters to find shelters near you.
  • Find evacuation and shelter information: LAcounty.gov/emergency.
  • Call 1-800-854-7771 for 24/7 mental health support.
  • 211LA: Connecting wildfire survivors in LA to essential resources like emergency shelter, food, and recovery assistance.
  • 211: Connecting wildfire survivors in California to essential resources like emergency shelter, food, and recovery assistance.
